The inspiration for the ROF boots? Dutch couple Leopoldt and Laura went hiking – Laura without wearing the proper footgear. This led to sparking an interest in producing proper all-purpose high quality handmade leather boots. For most it would have remained a good idea. However, these two put their dream to good use.

Today the ROF-Style boots are not only practical but a stylish wardrobe accessory, made by local South African craftsmen.

Having settled in the Riebeek Valley, their dream is to take it one step further – to invite visitors from abroad for a true ROF lifestyle experience, roaming the African land, breathing in nature all day and ending it with good food and in good company.
